Young people have opinions about the world and its key issues, though their ideas are seldom expressed and shared in a meaningful way. The Global People Debate is a global online events that provides a stimulating space where juniors from around the world can express and nurture their opinions in a friendly debate with other juniors from around the world. Our debates are held in English and are open to anyone from around the world.
14 to 18 years of age

Participants should have some basic English conversation skills.

Respect others and their opinions. Do not attack the person when debating their opinion. Be patient, courteous and friendly in your speech.
Understand the logic and viewpoint of the opposing argument, point out where you agree, and then propose your viewpoint and logic.
Do research before the debate so that you have something to contribute and share with everyone. This allows everyone to walk away with more than they came with.
All debates are facilitated by experienced & friendly support staff who ensure that everyone has a fair opportunity and that the debate progresses smoothly.
It is our goal that all participants can contribute to the conversation and learn a variety of perspectives on critical topics of society and the world.
