Introduction

The Sheridan College Institute of Technology formerly known as Sheridan College of Applied Arts and Technology, is commonly called as Sheridan College, is a polytechnic college with degrees and diplomas in Ontario. The University has a total of more than 25,000 students and of which international students is more than 7000 people.

Founded in 1967, the school has more than 130 programs in degrees, certificates, diplomas, and post-graduate diplomas with courses in business, animation, illustration, applied computing, engineering technology, community studies, and liberal studies, among others.. In particular, animation, art & design (FAAD) is the school that makes the name for Sheridan College and is also the largest arts department in Canada. In 2012, art and design programs within Sheridan's Faculty of Animation, Arts and Design were recognized NASAD by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) as "equivalent" membership. Sheridan is the second art organization in Canada to achieve this status.

Another advantage of Sheridan is that there are three state-of-the-art campuses: Davis Campus (Brampton), Hazel McCallion Campus (Misissauga) and the Trafalgar Road Campus (Oakville) located in the central business district, culture and tourism of Canada, helping students easily travel by car or public transport. In 2018, it was announced that Sheridan will open a new campus in Brampton, Ontario in partnership with Ryerson University by 2022. The campus will be located at the southeast corner of Church Street West and Mill Street North in Brampton. The learning environment here is considered to be the most modern in the world with modern technical equipment to meet the needs of students.
